Debit Card

A debit card is a plastic card that allows you to access funds directly from your bank account to make purchases at point-of-sale terminals or withdraw cash from ATMs.

When you use a debit card to make a purchase, the amount of the transaction is immediately deducted from your bank account.

Debit cards are widely accepted in Canada and offer a convenient and secure way to pay for goods and services. Unlike credit cards, debit cards do not allow you to borrow money, so you can only spend the funds that are available in your account.

Interac is the most common debit card network in Canada.
